Roe Valley Veterinary Clinic

The Roe Valley Veterinary Clinic is the longest established mixed practice in the Limavady area. It was first established in 1947 by Samuel Forgie in the same premises and was initially a large animal practice. As the demographics of the area changed in the last 20+ years, it is now a well established mixed practice run by Samuel Forgie's son Michael. Michael Forgie has continued the same level of hard work and provides a relaxed and friendly professional service to all his clients both large and small. He and his wife Joan are very well known and respected in the area. They have 3 daughters with a French teacher, a medical doctor and a future vet amongst them. Although we have a dedicated large animal clientele; our 'smaller' clients are always given personal, prompt treatment by Michael or one of the team.
We are fully computerised, have x-ray facilities, an automatic developer and an ultrasound machine. An in-house laboratory allows our vets to get prompt accurate blood, urine and cytology results, facilitating rapid diagnosis. Thus, the correct therapy can be chosen very early on, maximising the chances of a rapid recovery for our patients, and minimising their suffering. We have a separate cat area so that your ill cat would not be disturbed by noisy barking. We have a good association with Rainbows Rehoming Centre, and we provide veterinary care and attention to their inmates.The Rainbow Centre does excellent work in often difficult situations. Many of our clients have acquired pets from them, and some have needed their re-homing facility, when changes in their domestic arrangements forced them to part with a pet. We urge all our clients to support their valuable work.
